I Love WOD! With that being said....I
logged in this morning to find my character had been renamed from Malfeasance to Mal Pheasant. I apologize for the name, if it offended anyone, and sincerely beg forgiveness *bows* i realize its meaning yet didnt associate my character with its meaning, on the other hand trying to help others when possible. NO....Im not griping, please dont take it so! It is a name i have used for the past 4 years on characters i have created in different games(nwn etc) but i realize it was due for a change in this glorious shard :). I humbly request the name be changed once more, and not just because he has been named after a bird:P...No, my reason is just. There is a character here on the shard named Mal already and i hope to avoid confusion in other players (No offense Mal) So i ask Mal Pheasant be renamed simply to Malf....or even.....Malf Wyndhaven, Whichever suits the powers that be.

I DO appreciate being allowed to play here, I truly believe this is where all the great people come to play and am honored to be chosen to be playing alongside them.

I am humbly in your service *bows*
Malf.....or whatever you decide sounds better :)

Malefesence (or something) was either the raven or the witch in Sleeping Beauty--I think it was the witch. I'm not sure if that was why the GM's changed your name or not, but it's a possibility, eh?

Actually, malfeasance is an actual word. The definition is "Misconduct or wrongdoing, especially by a public official." We can't really allow a name like that anymore than we could allow a name like 'Felony' or something.

Aww man, this completely ruins my plans for my future 'evil' character which was going to be called "Fel Ohnee." I guess I can always go for "Bill Ahn Noos" or "Delin Koo'ent."

Actually, not really. In fact, if you would name a character something like Felony, you probably would wind up with a name like "Fel Ohnee" (unless we can't think of anything good, in which case you'd wind up with something like Bob.)

After years of experience, we (by which I generally mean Siobhan and myself) have found that its usually a whole lot easier to assign a player a name instead of asking what they would want it to be (We've had to deal with a few too many half-hour long sessions of 'Um, um, let me think... Um... Well, if I can't be named Cannabis, how about Savita?' 'No!') A remarkable number of people actually keep their name (or don't notice. I dunno.) If you're ever bored, it might be fun to someday take a look at the online list and figure out who we've renamed...

Bob was my third choice. Whenever I go to a restaurant and order a table, that's the name I give (trying to spell my full real name usually takes a lot longer :)).

Hey, I miss Bob. AKA SuperBob, AKA SB.

Anyone ever hear from him?

I suppose you have to be a bit sneakier like Ray Pete O'Fender or Wong Drewer. Sue Spect should be okay, though 'cause they got no proof.

...because they've got no proof. OMG, that's hillarious :D

I did that. The half hour long thing with Siobhan. But then, as I roleplay, I was roleplay a partially insane guy who desired power and was trying to figure out a name that would strike fear into people.. and he's somewhat insane. Oh well, she was patient and it was fun.
