Script update

Postby htfy on Sat Sep 27, 2003 1:52 am

Heya Drocket.

Its been a while since you released 095 scripts and I would like to know when the next release date will be. (I want to tell my players at least 2 days in advance that we will be upgrading, and will take the server down for the upgrade + testing).
Thanks a lot!

Errm lol sorry

Just doing another post to see if you are out there. Haven’t seen an answer from you on the boards for a while. If you’re busy, just ignore this message. Haha, got that covered pretty well. Even if you don’t answer I get an answer…
Now whip it, and whip it good!
Sorry couldn’t help it…

Oh, sorry. Well, I'm kind of in the middle of some rather major tweaking of archery combat, so right now probably isn't the best time. I think the biggest of the changes should probably be done in the next few days, so maybe this weekend, I would guess. That's not a promise, though :)

Thanks for the fast response. Any hint as to what the "tweaking" will do?

Most likely it has something to do with the changes Drocket has already made to WoD's archery.

Hope so!
Archery has been something I've longed to see improved for some time.

Take all the time you need!

Stephen Donald.

Ok, the updated scripts are available now. Archery is still something of a work-in-progress, but the next set of changes I plan to make may be a somewhat messy, so I thought I should release the scripts before that.

Thanks for the news

And thanks to everyone for answering so quickly. Script update is great as well.
What sorta messy changes? Ive played around with archery but gave up. I raised bow dmg, then weapon, then bow damage again. Untill I reset it back to the way it was.

Thanks again.

Well, I'm going to make it so that bows can fire multiple types of arrows. If you double-click a bow while its equipped, you'll get a gump that lets you select what kind of arrow you want to use. At first, there'll just be normal and fire arrows, but I'll add more afterwards.

Wow

Wow nice, not only did you solve the archer problem, but also added a lot of Alchemy recipies. (Create elemental potion and apply to the arrow, and bam!) Acid/Cold/etc arrows anyone?

Very cool!
