Now, as one of my favorite people pointed out, he seems to think I was whining... well, of course he would think that... but that doesn't happen to be the case. I said it was a waste of time because I truly believed the results would get the exact responses they did get here- each and every one missing the whole point.

Sure, nearly 50%(and sometimes much more) agreed that everything was fine and dandy the way it is on almost every question- which means that 50% of those who play on WoD actually enjoy playing this game here... however, there were a large number(at times, nearly the other 50%) who disagreed with the way things currently are... and apparently do NOT enjoy it... hence:

Compare it, cross-reference it, twist it however you like. The poll clearly states that sure, a LOT of people clearly like everything just the way it is- I would be silly to try and deny that- but it also CLEARLY shows that there are also a LOT of people who want things a LOT different- and this goes from questing right down to macroing at the bank. You people can distort and try to interpret it however you like- one thing it does show is that all is NOT fine and dandy here. "Oh, you don't like it, get the hell out! Blah blah blah blah..." What Azz'ole was failing to realize was that he had missed the point of my post altogether... Everyone is jumping up and down yelling "See? I told you there were a lot who DID like things the way they are!"- to this I do not disagree. What I am pointing out here is the number of votes for change- there actually were quite a lot, if even only for smaller modifications- Apparently a lot more people than the piranhas claim are not completely satisfied with the "WoD experience", but the piranhas still hold onto their convictions, even when faced with the hard facts- hence my statement of the poll being a waste of time. I would like to know how wod is going to wrong way, what makes wod awful and what made so many people leave?(i really got upset about it)...how it can be fixed, is this fault of players only?

The fact that many people (myself included) have certain things they would like to be somewhat different, may, but does not necessarily mean taht the WoD as it is today is not good for the vast majority.

The only question that you could possibly use to support your position was:

And even that dosn't do it really, the worst possible interpretation of that is that 6 out of 138 people (4%) think WoD sucks.

I think the biggest problem is that strong, opinionated people get totally put-down if they *dare* suggest anything that might be a bit touchy and especially if it dare intrudes upon the Most Sacred Duties of the Admin. You could probably categorise WoD into "Conservatives" (being those who like WoD, the admin and everything else how it is) and "Radicals" (those who might have issues - or not - with the admin, but definately desire change). Please note there is a distinct difference between 'change' and 'new ideas' being added - and that is important to keep in mind. Everyone wants change in the form of new christmas presents, , but that is not the argument being presented here.

If it was up to me, I'd present the list something like:

Conservatives:

Radicals:

Feel free to correct me; after all, I'm only basing this on my perspective and opinion, and you might feel very different to what I think. Also, there's no need to get uppity about the labels "Conservative" and "Radical"; it could have just as easily been "Pink" and "Purple" or "Apples" and "Oranges" or any other two different (but similarly grouped) things. It's not meant to be derogatory.

And I can just envision about 80 posts saying "Yes Marius I'm neutral!" but there's a difference in being actively neutral and passively neutral. If you consider yourself neutral because you don't care either way, or you have no formed opinion, then you're default Conservative, because you do not desire change (see how it works?). Take a moment to rationalise, like I have below.

I've always considered myself leaning towards the Radicals because I try not to get involved too deeply into the politics of everything, even though I have .. when it comes to personal projects. If it came down to an informed decision, I'd put my lot in with the Radicals, because I feel that WoD needs change, and I believe the poll was a good step in doing this. Still, recent months have found the lustre of WoD less appealing to me, and the longer time goes on, the less I actually care what happens in WoD. Especially now, considering a private shard that I've been toying with is operational (if a bit delicate!), there's less and less I desire of WoD, and everything else that exists in it.

Sure, I'll be around, maybe even get involved again, but with the departure of just about everyone I knew and respected on WoD in the space of a week, there's really only a few people I stay for, rather than myself. I'd like to say that WoD will be diminished for my leaving, but I'm not too sure. So, as of the moment, I'm just quietly plying the auctioneer, and wishing I could decorate my tower. No more big ideas or role-play or stories, because of .. well, personal reasons that will just cause unneccessary flaming.

The more I think about it, the more WoD truly reflects society; in that it has a government that gives the people something they believe in and build as an ideal, whilst very much pursuing goals other to this intended vision. Hopefully, I'll be proven wrong, and WoD will be this marvellous place of joy and quests and content players, but right now I'm finding I've grown apart from it. Not neccessarily leaving, but not really giving all I can.

Also, a lot of people could really value from re-reading my Guide to Forum Posting. It's getting downright unpleasant in here, and I consider myself quite patient.

I'll make sure to bump it up again, for those who might desire to read it.

There are a lot of people who want things a little different(Benson tweaks, macro rules), and a few people who want things a lot different. Or maybe your interpretation of "a LOT" is a smaller amount than you make it sound.

You have successfully epitomized exactly the reason I stated that I thought the poll was a complete and total waste of time- Even after seeing with your own eyes how many people truly DO desire change (in whatever form), you still insist on dropping back to the old addage of "Well, if you don't like it just leave! Neener-neener-neener!" Like a spoiled child would do when proven wrong... As for my reason for saying it was a waste of time originally, I knew full well that the only comments to those who polled they would like to see things change would be those arguing against it once again. Additionaly, I have no doubt but that there were a lot of "Just fine" answers which came from newer players who felt that they may be berated, and/or their acounts deleted if they stated otherwise. However, regardless of that fact (let's pretend it isn't the case), there obviously were plenty who stated that they did want changes to occur. But, alas, once again the forum piranhas snapped up yet another chance for a meal... thereby negating any positive effect the poll might have had on the WoDdian society...

I post only negativity? Sure, I have posted some rather negative comments in the past, but I fail to see where pointing out facts constitutes negativity on MY part... If it is the facts to which I am pointing which are indeed negative (in your eyes), isn't that rather a reflection of the populace in general, and not me alone? Take a good look at some of your own posts, including your last- I think you will find this negativity of which you so freely throw accusations at others for...

Pick apart my posts and "quote" only the things that make YOUR statements seem justified all you want. It would appear that there are definitely those who have finally opened their eyes to things I have been saying for months...
