Player Banned

Any discussion about WoD that doesn't fit into another category

This somewhat reminds me of some other unnamed person who was banned a couple years ago. Always paranoid of the admin/staff and whatnot...

Laephis wrote:It's funny how truth and lies are often so closely related. I think if you were really going to be truthful, you'd have admitted that you are the one who hates Siobhan, and you are the one who is jealous of her. You've pretty much shown the world that you wanted to run the show here, and when you were told you couldn't, you took matters into your own hands.

When I read Lyl's post I thought the same thing. Paraniod egomaniac.

Lyl, your gone, let it be. Your "truths" aren't gonna be getting players on your side. Here's some "facts" of my own. Which I think are more accurate...and probably are.

Lyl wrote:The real reason I was banned is because Siobhan hates me.

You hate her because you think she is in your way of becoming a GM or Admin. And we know you desperately want the position because when your banned here(thus REALLY having no chance at becoming a GM) you say how you were too good for this shard anyway and that your starting your own. You'll have all the power on your own shard then. Bye.

Lyl wrote:She was jealous of the attention I recieved and took away from her.

I didn't brown nose her.

I saw what she is actually like.

She felt threatened by all the answers and help I gave in the forums, ideas I suggested and problems I helped fix.

She wanted to be the star again.

Lyl wrote:Why would I want to play on or help with WoD when it has become an elaborate ego trip for Siobhan and her cruel, lowlife clique.

*snickers* *then laughs* Lyl says OTHER people have an ego trip going.
And the only reason you say they are a "lowlife clique" is because your not apart of it. That is quite a lowlife thing to say.

Laephis wrote:Remember what I said about enough rope?

Yep. It's been a public hanging courtesy of Lyl himself.

Lyl, your swinging on the rope and everyone is watching.

Daeric posted that a player had been banned and why, and then the banned player chose to not "go quietly into the night." In fact, that banned player chose instead to take pot-shots at our beloved Admins, GMs, Seers etc, especially Siobhan, all the while attempting to rationalize the actions that led to his banning. Some people took exception to that tactic and voiced their displeasure.

In addition, Starling chose to defend the banned player and accused Azzo of breaking Rule 10, and several people have defended Azzo.

Finally, you asked for a recap.

Given what was written and why, I don't think this is out of hand at all, personally.

Any other questions?

I was going to stay out of this but......

Lyl you are just being a poop.
I was an Admin for almost 4 yrs on another shard. Let’s be honest. Your stinky attitude wouldn't have made it a week there. Be glad you chose a place where players are allowed to speak their mind and be themselves no matter what a low life they turn out to be. As for attacking Siobhan. She was the easiest target. She is quiet and sweet. She is helpful but never steps over that line to over-help a player. She not only gives the answers to your pages but educates you on where to find them yourself next time, always with courtesy and a smile.

I have made the comment a few times I believe she is better at her job then any I have seen and there have been a lot flow through our shard. She cares.

*Hats off to the admins for banning someone who cant realize they screwed up and just say I am sorry like an adult would* I really don’t like people who blame everyone else for what goes wrong instead of accepting the fact they are not perfect.

On the subject of Azzo-
He can be a bit overwhelming on occasion but a lot of it is done in the spirit of rp. In reality he is the definition of a true friend when you get to know him.... He is there for you when you need to talk or laugh. He is there for you when you need a res and not a razzing about what killed you. He also makes us think. Did you ever notice he will start something just to see people’s reactions? Then later he posts and actually agrees with the group but just wanted to get people moving or thinking. Is that a bad thing? I don’t think so. Azzo also has respect for those who ask for it of him. If you say to him- I am a lady please don’t speak to me in that manner. He won’t.

So next time Lyl remind Azzo you are a princess and he will treat you as such.

I would just like to take this opportunity to express my total support and appreciation to our administration in general and Siobhan (probably botched the spelling for the 735th time) in particular. We have been truly and constantly blessed throughout the history of the shard. Like a number of us oldbies, I have made an emotional investment in WOD, and I feel that investment is in good hands. I've disagreed with the administration from time to time over the years, and I think I might have even been right once, but they have always behaved in the best interest of the shard and principles of its origin, as best they can determine them.
I pledge continuing support.

Gosh, I leave for a week and look at all the flame-wars I miss!
*mumbles something about no more vacations*

First of all, I have to say I'm shocked . I thought I knew how egotistical, slanderous, and duplicitous Lyl truly was but his latest posts have shown me how little (no pun intended) I've really known him.

Lyl, it is one thing to accuse me and my friends of being cheaters (and you can deny all you want but your post was very clear). It is quite a another to bring such contemptible accusations against the WoD admins--and specially Siobhan who has been kindest Admin (next to Shade & Drocket) this shard has ever had.

Not only do you continue to sustain your self-righteous innocence and fault the Admins for
(rightly) banning you, but now you are accussing them of corruption and partiality. What is worse, just like you did when you accused me of exploting a bug (YOU of all people!), you failed to weigh the evidence properly and based your accusations on mere speculation and your own concocted version of the reality. Do you REALLY know Siobhan enough to say such things about her? For that matter, how much do you really know about her or any of the other Admins?

How many times did you msg me in-game, or asked me anything about the fraudulent charges you brought against me? Never, not once. You didn't know the first thing about me or Lagger or what was really going on and yet you were so quick to rush to your biased conclusions. You were dead wrong about me. You are completely wrong about Siobhan as well.

You don't have one shred of decency, Lyl. I didn't think it possible for you to sink any lower than you already had. You've proved me wrong.

This thread has only further vindicated the Admins' actions. You are right Laephis, the WoD boards are an excellent place for people to show their true colors. Lyl was not banned for the things he has said on these boards (and let no one believe otherwise), but the character he has displayed here has certainly proved the Admins made the right decision.

Ps. About Azzo, what's wrong with him? Beats me. Methinks he's had one too many kids and the experience has been too much for him :D
You might find his posts a little unnerving at times but he's really a nice guy. I've never found him obnxious in game (not to me anyway). The few instances I've hunted with him (or rescued him), he's been a perfect gentleman and generally pleasant to have him as company. He's the type that if you ever have a problem with him you can almost certainly work it out with him. Oh and WW, I don't think he's one to hold grudges, either. Maybe you too can look past old mistakes and misunderstandings and come out a better man from all of this.
