Ninja in Britain

Postby Aiya on Fri May 07, 2004 11:15 am

I'm not sure who is running the "controlled minds" quest, but it has gone a bit over the top. I log in for amusement. Perhaps the gm in charge is amused, but constant death is not my idea of a fun game. Neither is seeing "gets totally pissed off" emoted from the ninja assasin who is going to kill me again. Perhaps WOD is not the place I thought it was.

these are different at xmas you got sent back to the start these things hit harder than ancient dragons(supposed to be the worst on the shard) they can take a fully buffed tank for over 80 points thats gettin a bit much.

i died 4 times today rather annoyed but otherwise irratated even the trolls in minoc werent this strong i have to agree with her on this one they are a bit much when there are only a handful on i logged on with 5 people online and seen death cries galore including my own

i didnt die this many times in short order even in bucs challengeand you cant know to run when your at 3/4 health that just doesnt happen

Besides least at xmas we have a weapon that worked against them

best ive seen is frost arrows so far and ya still need quite a few

Are these the same ninjas that we had maybe about a year ago? As I recall, they hit pretty hard back then too. But I dont remember being downed by 4 hits. I was atleast able to put up a good fight til I had to retreat to heal.

We, me and Bassett, tracked down and killed couple of dozen of Ninjas, Shadow Knights, S. Archers and S. Mages. Heh, those Ninjas are pretty tough, one Ninja killed our two dragons pretty quick (I think it was like 4 hits/dragon and they were dead), so be very careful when entering east Brit.

How odd, I am not sure how the stats of an earth elemental stack up to the stats of a dragon (named or great?), but it was standing up to the ninja fairly well long as I was watching its health to drop on heals when needed.

My 45 AR mage handeled them less well than the elemental, for the most part the damage was light, maybe 1/8th of my health bar, but every once in a while they'd get in a monster hit (critical?) had several deaths myself while figuring out how to solo them.

Thanks for the excitement to whomever set these guys up!

It seems to me that Ninjas do more damage when they are low on Health.
I had a Great Dragon and an Earth Elemental fulled buffed on one Ninja, which was just about dead, and he managed to kill both of them
It is weird, the dragon was doing good and was at about 2/3 health when the Ninja just killed him in one hit :ninja: He then turned and killed my elemental in about 4 hits, and this was with me constantly casting greater heal on it.
However, I did not have any problems killing the other 4 Ninjas I ran into.

Aiya, I'm sorry you died repeatedly. Unfortunately, sometimes Britain does get attacked. It is less common than say Magincia or Trinsic, but it does happen. As for the Ninja's "colorful" language, this goes back quite a ways to when they first came on the scene. I'm not condoning it, just trying to explain where it came from. There were some links bandied about way back when and whoever programmed the Ninja used the speaking style from the links.

If you need any assistance, in terms of gear replacement or just gold to pay death taxes, please find me in game and I will be glad to assist. I think WoD is that place, actually. :D

There may be something to this, about half the deaths I had fell into the "Yep, I thought I might have been pushing that a bit too far" catagory, but there were some that left me going :?:

Yep, that is exactly what happened
On my end it looked more like:
*cuts off Akai the Great's head*
*cuts off earth elemental's head*
*watches Byouki run for his life*

How strange. With my 18 AR and 89 HP, the Ninja hit me a couple of times. Each time he seemed to only drop me about 30 - 35 hp.
