I went by the MoonGlow GY Easter morning, and it looks like the front gates are kinda bunged up - not in line with the rest of the fenceing.

One time I saw the gate jump from its original location to a stuck place, and it was when I was doing a guard quest for an ophidian. When I got to the gate and the oph targeted me, the gate jumped.

Sounds to me Wolfie that the gate jumped as a response of being scaired of your mighty prowess? :?
