Last week I decided to try something out: the messages that show up shortly before a worldsave occurs (worldsave in 60 seconds, followed by another warning at 30 seconds.) So, I thought I'd try a poll (key word: Try - I don't know if I have permissions set up right for them )

They're kind of helpfully because, when there's going to be a worldsave, you may want to back away from that ancient dragon, just in case there's a crash and timewarp back to that save. Don't want to log in to that, you know

On the other hand, they're more spam, and spam can be annoying. So, what does everyone think?

Well, it seems like the overwhelming majority of people like the messages, so they'll be staying

For awhile on the new server the saves were very short, only a few seconds. And then now they seem to be taking much longer again.

Anyone else notice that?

It seems there was a trade-off: short world-saves, long restarts with problems. Maybe the longer world-saves help in some way with server restarts?

hopefully things will settle down and we'll enjoy the stability we used to have. Then maybe the saves can be spread out again.
