Me too! I'll drop my trousers and moon 'em!

of names "outlaws" doesn't exactly suggest pastoral knitting circles to me.

*knits his brows in confusion*

Hey, the outlaws are definitely bad guys. They're red, after all. That means they are worse than the usual run of the mill monsters. That means they are EVIL!

They aren't setting up any kind of society. They are setting up to prey on the unwary passersby.

I regard them as KOS.

They must feel threatened by you, perhaps think you are a spy from Lissar. You could try avoiding them while we petition Lissar to grant them pardon and autonomy.

They have interesting character, it would be a shame to kill them all.

as for leaving the realm there are ships to Amn regularly with space going to waste. and its certainly possible for them to build their own ships as surely they must have the odd shipwright in their midst.

But why should they leave anymore than we should? And why should either of go though so much effort when dropping our arms takes no effort at all.

they have i believe been associated with pirates and brigands in the recent past

I haven't heard any reports of this. The Order of the Prophet may have aligned with Praetorians, but thats they were all killed and this is a different group.

and frankly their choice of names "outlaws" doesn't exactly suggest pastoral knitting circles to me.

When the law requires you to be a murderer only outlaws will be rightous.

as for our most gracious Queen well you have the horrible misfortune to live in a monarchy. if this is so terribly offensive to you there really are only two options. leave or overthrow the government and take your chances on what happens after.

I prefer to simply ignore the claim to reign, and live freely like an outlaw.

your choice of phrasing was gratuitously insulting to many of us here. i am entirely sure that being called one of Lissar's thugs irks people. personally i would consider it not a small badge of honour to be one of the Queen's "thugs". :(

yeah, I remember a lot of people took pleasure in squelching the townspeople for Lissar. How about cutthroat lackies?

We could keep a couple in the Moonglow zoo for posterity's sake.

Tell ya what. Find one of the outlaw bands and drop your arms and try to reason with them. The length of time you'll have to reason with them is directly proportional to the excellence of your armor.

I admit, I kinda like that remark.

But, you are forgetting one thing. They are the aggressive ones. They attacked me without warning one day. I saw them in the distance and veered southwards. They followed and attacked me! Blackguards!

I prefer to simply ignore the claim to reign, and live freely like an outlaw.

If you need a set of that cheap, green leather armor they wear, I've got a couple!

Hmmm, cutthroat lackie or thug. I kinda like 'em both. They have a nice ring.

Could we combine them? Cutthroat thackie? Cutthug lackie? Thugthroat lackie? Cutthroat lackhug? Naw...those sound dumb.

Thanks Wolfy. I scouted about the area this morning and found a dozen or so of them. They had set up a camp with a kettle bubbling over a fire in a small clearing. A skinned carcass was lying to one side and a dead horse lying on the other side of the clearing. Doesn't look like they are very woodwise if they are eating their own horses.

One of the warriors was riding a nightmare, which was interesting. The outlaw archers are quite excellent and their magic users are reasonably powerful which can make things quite dangerous.

There were at least five assassins hiding in the underbrush around the clearing.

I found no notes, no runes to "secret spots" or anything. Just the green armor. At least I hope there wasn't a rune, I imagine a shopkeeper would regard it as "something important" and not auto-buy it.

The camp is located at 1057, 2404, south of the left hand side of the hedge maze.
