Why is it we can't use them on Chaos shields?

Could we at least color the silver on the shields rime?

isn't it an important part of belonging to an Order that you bear the regalia of the order. After all we really cannot have chaos knights showing individuality can we.

The main reason that chaos and order shields aren't colorable/laminatable is that, in the past, there have been a couple of quests in which colored shields have has special significance. I know, for instance, that there are several red shields that are a relic of a quest from quite a while back (don't remember what the quest was right now, though ) I'm not really sure if they should be dyable, or if they should remain 'reserved' for seer use...
