Hmmm, I wonder if the darkness will cover the land, as it has in the past. In the past, even In Lor didn't work...

That would be interesting, but there is one problem with that. I recently got a new flat panel monitor, and for some reason the game is a lot darker than on my normal monitor, even with the brightness turned all the way up. So when it is night it the game it is very dark and hard to see on my monitor so I have to have nightsight in effect to hunt. I am not sure if anyone else has this same problem, but I personally would not hunt until it was over.

Might be worth poking around in your video card settings and looking for "Gamma Correction" and fiddling with that. Getting a setting that increases brightness while not washing out the other colors is a bit of a pain though.

The weird thing is that all of my other games and programs look exactly the same on this monitor, except for UO. I am running UO TSA, maybe if I upgrade to LBR or AOS it might fix this problem.

Seems unlkely that upgradeing will fix the brighness issue, I've run Ren, LBR, and AoS and they all appeard the same to me.
What kind of video card do you have? Mine is Nvidia based and I wonder if maybe it dosn't like UO all that much, UO seems to be the worst for getting decent brigtness settings.

I have a 32mg GeForce 2 GTS.
I have all the latest drives for it and it didn't have this problem with my old monitor. But it isn't that big of a deal, I just make sure that I have nightsight on most of the time
