AMEN!!!! Bitching and moaning lil pissants should be stuck in the stockades for all to see. I can find a graphic for it if need be! Today you asked for my help in recovering many of the items, then you come here and post something like that? I suggest a very deep appology or you can find your own gear next time. I am disgusted with your attitude.

Superdude, I'm gonna ... :curse:

*looks for good strong staff to beat Superdude with*

*walks over and grovels at Laephis' feet* Please M'Lord, he knoweth not what he sayeth. I will set him straight.

I appologize for Superdude's outburst.

Most of us understand and sympathize with you, Laephis and the "crew". Some of us even realize that it is not just the shard that some people can't get to or keep losing connection with, it is their entire internet service, which ... they pay, as you say $35 or $50 or or more, if there are local isp's or hosting companies in the area. (depending on where and what the problem is, it could be $1000s if it is affecting anything like T1s or DS3's.) Also, some people use that service for their EBAY business. Tell me that is not hurting them ... so, who is it that really should be crying?

So folks, let's all try to be as patient as possible. Remember, as some of us are slightly disappointed, others are losing actual money. Big money. I really hate this phrase but it REALLY applies here... It could be worse.

Superdude, I beleive an apology to Laephis and the rest of the people that donate their time and money to this shard, as well as the rest of the players, IS in order here.

He/she doesn't need to apologize to me. He/she can just not EVER log in to WoD again and NEVER return to these boards and I'll be perfectly happy.

Complaining about a FREE service not working is just stupid, eh SuperDude? Also, the shard is running fine--it's the connection to the shard that is having issues. Has your internet connection every gone ka-plooey (technical term)? The service that you (or maybe your mommy) pays for doesn't work. Has that EVER happened to you? If not, you are the luckiest person ever. If it has, then you should understand that internet connections do occasionally go down. Also, had you bothered to read any of the posts made by Drocket or Laephis in the Tech Forum you would have seen what the actual issue is, and it isn't your lost gear.

Laephis, far too many of us appreciate what you and the others "Powers that Be" do, and we all sincerely hope that you don't decide to pull the plug. Please understand that people like SuperDude are the tiniest of the minority of players and they do not represent what most of us feel, which is undying gratitude to you, Drocket, the GMs, the Seers etc.

I will be glad to assist in the public flogging of SuperDude, if he/she has the nerve to log back in when the connection is fixed.

dude was mad because he lost some stuff, more then likely stuff he spent many hours working to collect, maybe he didn't pay prime USD for it, but still he spent alot of time and effort playing on WoD to get the stuff.

most of the time when people lose stuff alot of the players will offer to help replace it, why didn't that happen in this case?

Because he went about it in the wrong way

did someone try to help him, or did everyone just join in the fray?

We've all lost stuff on WoD before. Does that make it right to bitch about it on the boards?

more then [sic] likely stuff he spent many hours working to collect.

More hours than I've invested in WoD?

maybe he didn't pay prime USD for it,

Nope, but I did.

but still he spent alot of time and effort playing on WoD to get the stuff.

Wait, let me get this straight. We provide you a free source of entertainment, but you view it as work and effort?

Let's put this in perspective (AGAIN):
Value of the little digital bits you play with: $0
Value of my blood, sweat and tears: Beyond your ability to compensate me.

most of the time when people lose stuff alot of the players will offer to help replace it, why didn't that happen in this case?

Most of the time people ask nicely for help. I'd direct you to a post by Augur Wildwood for an example of that. Most people don't demand things in such a rude way. People who demand rudely ususally get this kind of response.

did someone try to help him, or did everyone just join in the fray?

Did you? The only thing I see you doing here trying to fan the flames and gracing us with your Most Holy Attitude.

anger greated with anger just leads to more anger

Careful where you are rolling those eyes, you might get them poked out.

Superdude was able to see his mistake and apologized. I accept that apology. Why you are unable to "get it" is beyond all sense and reason to me.

this is the 1st i've heared of this, i was away most of the weekend and i did send an offer of help, i know your mad, but its not my intent to fan the flames, mearly to state that cooler heads should rule the day.... i know you done alot of hard work and spent time and money on WoD, and i as well as many others are thankyfull

hopefully in the future people won't burst out at the admins over something they don't have any controll over anyways, but if they do i hope there won't be a public hanging

No, Simon, it actually was Daddy Troll trying to justify and protect Baby Troll.

*Edited for realization of what exactly Simon said*

[quote]hopefully in the future people won't burst out at the admins over something they don't have any controll over anyways, but if they do i hope there won't be a public hanging[quote]

You are out of your mind, that is all I can say. There is NEVER a time that someone can "burst out" at the Admins and have it be ok. Ever. Period.

SuperDude, now that you've realized the error of your ways and Laephis has accepted your apology, I don't want you (or anyone else) to leave.

Simon, why is it you always seem to take the opposing view of everyone else that posts? You play on WoD and I'm sure you appreciate what the "Powers that Be" have GIVEN us. SuperDude needed to realize that what he wrote was insensitive and wrong, and he/she did. All is forgiven. Why jump in now, if not, as Laephis said, to "fan the flames?"

Please explain that one to me.

But Atei,
I thought you said you wanted me gone...
.....
So why now the change of heart?
Why now after I shed my tears is it ok for me to return?!?
I thought you wanted to publicly FLOG me!
And I thought I was just a baby TROLL!
Well even if I am I have feelings too.
