wraithform

Postby [Kobayashi] on Thu Mar 18, 2004 12:40 am

I was fooling around with wraithform and just happened to check my status page and say three of my buffs having an almost 2 hour timer. I'm just curious, is this a feature of wraithform or a bug?

That looks like Liche Spell modifiers to me. Did you cast Liche before casting wraithform?

Have you visited the fountain in Covetous in the past few days? Or perhaps the other "shrine"? I don't know where that's at or if its still around, I've never been there.

oh yes, azzo was right,
after retracing my steps i remembered i cast spectres touch on a bone knight
i was abit confused at first because in the manual it says transfers str
on a sidenote if i used this on a stronger npc, do i get higher stat buffs?

Most likely you get lower stats. :)
Chicken or something like that gives usually good stats.

The lower the resist the higher the buff from ST. I use birds or bulls. You could use a crier, but people feel the need to kill them after the spell and that ticks off more than a few people lol. At least in the long run. Person "a" ST's a crier, then kills said crier. Person "b" sees this and gets upset and posts. A bunch of other letters form an oppinion of the crier and his rights as a citizen of the realms and therefore deserving of a bit of protection. The gods feel sorry for the poor rube and increase his resist and strength to the point that he is one BAMF! The next unsuspecting necro shows up to get a lil "touch" on, and BLAMMO!! he gets whacked by the crier.
As you can see it may not upset anyone right away but eventualy it gets out of hand. See me in game and I'll show you a safe non-imposing way to touch the crier without killing him. (or getting whacked)

Azzo, there is Evil, and there's just plain Wrong.

But at least you're educating young Necromancers on "Safe Hex"
