Now I know what love means

I can’t help failing in love with you
So glad you shared with me your kiss
Lips soft as clouds pressing against me
Burning flames ignite with in my heart

Why are my eyes in pain, isn’t that rain
Could it be the darkness eating my soul?
You where my best friend, stand side by side
Where is the future one without the pain?

God above spare me this again
Take me now let their be no more
Can one live alone, yet and not be cold as stone
Drain my heart oh Lord, close this door

She took my heart didn’t I see it leaving me
A promise to me you broke it, meaningless word
My eyes watching you bringing my world to an end
Will I ever be free, is there peace for me

Wasted nights and countless days
Can there be a solace where my soul can rest
This pain in my heart can not be assuaged or soothed
Bless your heart my love, your special and wonderful

Your angelic memory is mighty difficult to remove
The innocence of the promised dream
Is found in the sanctity of my loneliest nights
I withdraw into myself to forge silently ahead

There where times I couldn’t accept your gift
It wasn’t meant as an insult, I couldn’t take it
My heart was scared before, yet healing from long ago
I stay awake at nigh, remembering our bodies together

I’ve never know one like you, someone to share the light
Like a blind man denying sight, how can I deny this light?
It starts with the first kiss, given with a promise
With a soft and skilful hand you touched me

Write our names in the sand, soon each trace will fade
For the decay will sweep my life away again
From the first time I held you, I fell in love
The warmth of your embrace, the smile on your face

Now I know the words, I love you, means goodbye
I feel the sun rise but there was no dawn
I said a prayer, but it was never heard
You said, “I love youâ€
