Famine

Has something gone awry in Famine? We hunted it twice last night, and both times the strongest monster we ran into was a vampire mage. There were no undead dragons, no ancient vampires, and no vampire Lords. And in conjunction with the lack of stronger monsters, the spawn was very light in number of creatures also. Didn't take us more than maybe 15-20 minutes to clear the whole thing. All levels.

Famine runs off the invasion spawner, the longer it is left alone the stronger it gets, If it is hunted out all the way to the bottom fairly frequently it will stay low spawn.

I've noticed that too. I think Drocket explained that for a long time the Famine spawner was on super high because of someone trapping the spawn boss.

With it being back to normal it might be that you showed up just after someone else cleared it and fought the first respawn after that.

Or I could be completely wrong too. Just offering up a possible explanation.

I appreciate the responses, but this is waaayyyyyyy out of whack. I've been in Famine after someone has recently cleared it. And yes, the spawn would be smaller. However, in this case, the compelling issue is that there are "no" monsters of any strength. I could understand if it was just a "small" spawn. But even in a small spawn, there will be at least a couple of Ancient Vamps, and a Lord. Both of the times we were there, there were none. Not even a shadow of one. And we are talking about all the levels. Including the cave and the last room.

*shrugs* I dunno. Was just wondering if maybe something had been done. Famine is my favorite place to hunt.
