Minor issues with new Smithy menu

Postby kaice on Sat May 22, 2004 1:58 pm

Hail all,

I have two minor issues with the new BlackSmithing menu. I don't know if anyone else is having them, so I'll post and see :)

1) I play UO in an 800x600 window on a 1024x768 screen. When I use the smith menu, the menu runs off of my playing window, and I have to open the playwindow up to fullscreen (UO on a black background) to see the bottom selections of the Smithy menu. Is the menu re-locatable? Or re-sizeable?
2) When making multiples of the same item from the Smith menu, I cannot move ANY of the items being made in this 'run' until I have completed ALL of the number of items selected. I keep getting told that 'This item is already being used' and 'You cannot pick that up'.

I noticed #2 as well, though it wasn't much of an issue for me since I'm only making 5 at a time.

You can do things with the "normal" quality items, but the upgraded ones are stuck until you finish smithing.

I'm going to make the menu a bit smaller. I'm not entirely sure why you're having problems with it anyway, though: I can see the whole thing just fine on my system at 1024x768 (with the exception of a small sliver of the bottom border.) Where exactly does the menu cut off for you? What's the last line that you can see clearly at the bottom?

Its shrunk down some now. Let me know if anyone is having any more problems (unless you're running at 640x480 or something. In that case, upgrade :P)

I run a fullscreen window with 800x600 game play window. I tried the new smithing menu when it was too big.. It cut off between quality and exceptional I suppose.. I couldn't see exceptional, so it is safer to say, it cut off below quality. Anyway, I'll check it out presently.
