A point to remember, when I joined here a standard operating procedure was to have someone in charge of the quest...we met at the bank, someone was selected to "call the shots" so to speak. Things went oh so smooth...other than my theories on loot splitting lol I was stuck in OSI mode of hey I killed it, I looted it is MINE! hehehe ahh the good old days. My point is a question, what happened since then?

Loot

As for loot, I usually only accept some gold when I've died  - because I am perpetually poor (mostly because my real life schedule doesn't allow me much time to hunt) and it helps with the death taxes and the cost of supplies. However, I would say that for at least 90% of us (myself included), the loot isn't why we do quests - and most of us would do it for nothing monetarily speaking(lots of us already DO do it for nothing on many occasions). I really enjoy the excitement, and being a part of the history of WoD, and the chance to fight alongside a whole gang of great people. I love the notes, the storylines, and the intrigue of the unfolding quests. I whole heartedly appreciate the seers and admins who put so much time and effort into making WoD such a cool place to play. I have played a lot of the MMORPGs out there, and this is the only one I always come back to. I firmly believe that WoD has the best bunch of people - players and staff - on the internet. Thanks guys...I love you all! :D

Well, a fine mess we have here...

Actually, I have been messing around on another shard for the past 10 days or so and was not aware of this issue or would most assuredly have posted my response in defense of Maddox ASAP.

I have hunted with Maddox numerous times over the past 2 years and have been with him on many of the branubian/shaboolie hunts (well, mostly the rescues) and I can say that absolutely, hands down, he is not a player who thinks to hisself "what's in it for me" when he helps and participates in the quests. IF he takes any share of the gold, he normally gives it to a player who died. He is one of the first people who I see taking off to do a rescue at Despise and always asking if anything is going on quest wise, not because he is after loot, but because he does not want to miss out on being a part of the quest and history. IF the Seers/GMs eliminate loot on quests (which I totally support) it will not prevent Maddox from participating in the quests, like I said, I KNOW that is not the reason he does them. Additionally, I have never heard him say one thing negative about the Seers or the GMs regarding the quests and loot on the quests. There is no doubt in my mind that what Maddox said was taken out of context and it was said so the people who had to leave would know that they did not miss anything as far as the loot went when they had to leave early, in case any of THEM was questing for loot (sic). Of course, anyone who "quests" knows that there is not good loot on the quests, that is a no brainer...you quest for the sake of the quest, not the loot.

Welp, about said my piece so all you folks have a great day
