HP Buff Fountain in Covetous

Postby mwright on Wed Apr 07, 2004 3:24 pm

I found the HP buff fountain in Covetous level 5 but have a question. SOme have told me that the 5 HP buff lasts a week, some say lasts forever.
What is fact?

and are there any others like this in the world that give an effect?

Thanks in advance.

Type .status, it gives you the length of time you have on your buffs, this works for all buffs.

It lasts 3 days but you can go refresh it as often as you like.

And I believe (but don't hold me to it as I've never been there) that there is a similar edifice in dungeon Wind that does the same for INT.

Corrections please, anyone?

not sure if it's int or mana (same effect really) but it's also a +5

Apostles, yeah. Makes you wonder to whom (or what) they are apostles to. I obviously missed that quest . . .

Eek, I edited the post instead of posting a new reply. Oh well, Kasia explained it well enough.

Yes,the pillar in Wind adds +5 mana.It is guarded by Apostles of the pillar and well as fire elementals and blazing spectres. It can get quite nasty(the apostles pack a pretty good punch),definately a group hunt spot. :D

I thank you folks for pointing it out to me - I *did* know that it was Mana, not Int, but I tend to (incorrectly) think of them as interchangable because (like Wolfie says) the effect is the same. I do the same for Str and HP, but I do know they're also two different things.

Well str makes a slight difference in the calculations for hit damage. I never play a mage so int and mana are the same to me.

The magic places of the world don't affect INT or STR. They only affect Max HP and Max Mana. Those 2 things are based on STR and INT respectively. The fountain adds 5 to the Max HP without affecting STR. Similarly, the Pillar of Flame adds 5 to Max Mana without affecting INT.
