Appropriate Ingot Prices?

Postby Bayn on Mon May 10, 2004 2:55 am

What are the appropriate ingot prices these days? From what I can find in the Vendor Search, the following seems average?

bronze ingots at 4 each
dull copper ingots at 5 each
copper ingots at 6 each
pyrite ingots at 8 each
rubysteel ingots at 20 each
bluesteel ingots at 20 each
oynx ingots at 9 each
malachite ingots at 8 each
azurite ingots at 14 each
iron ingots at 3 each

Everyone still selling approximately for that?

I used to sell some of the ingots for slightly cheaper, but now that we got the deeds: i pulled metals out of my vendor and started whacking deeds :)
Nowadays you can get slightly more profit from making deeds than selling metal at those prices.

Ore market is flooded, almost every market is flooded

i sell far below the average prices.....and get more customers...

law of keynes:
high demand > high prices, low demand > low prices; high sellers>low prices, low sellers>high prices.....

On the contrary, the ore market is wide open at the moment. The new smithing deeds have created a demand that miners are unable to keep up with at this specific moment in time. I don't sell my ingots publicly anymore, it is all I can do to keep up with a couple individuals. Even after buying ingots they make excellent profit from the new smithing contracts.

If you sell far below the average price I'd be happy to buy your entire inventory. Iron at 1 gp each and so on?

LOL do I hear half a gold piece per iron ingot???
I know what you mean though about not being able to keep up. Unfortunately, with rl work and doing 5 12's for the week, leaves little time for me to mine. Hopefully there'll be a break in the action soon.....
