(I'm afraid I don't have a lot of the details, but I will try anyway. Please, if you were there, fill in the blanks!)
Last evening, I decided the time had come to find a Great Dragon I could call "friend." I gated to Despise, ran through the Orcs to the deepest, darkest level (the Lake Room, where the Wyrms hang out) when I spotted a big, hoary, ugly Dragon. Ugh, an Ancient--I didn't even bother. I recalled back home and decided to wait for some help to show up.
Finally, Andy Van Gothe, Edward Tristan, Ki'Anna Stydoran and others agreed to go with me (it didn't take THAT much begging) and off we went in search of a Dragon. At that point Scott Myr messaged me and said that the Ophidian Queen had stolen a Rock capable of destroying our world and it needed to be retrieved from Cove ORC Fort (dirty, slimy, scaly Ophidians need to LEAVE Cove ORC Fort). We returned to Britain to find a group preparing to head to Cove.
When we got to Cove, some others had moved out ahead of us, and as it turned out, we were a bit late. The second Ophidian killed had the Rock, along with a Note. The group returned to Britain, the Rock was given to the designated shop keeper (I can't remember the name of the recipient, sorry) and my little group headed back to Despise. We hadn't made more than a dent into the Dungeon when Jon Leir messaged me, telling me that we had been fooled and the wrong Rock had been found!
We went back to Britain, and after preparations were completed, we headed back to Cove. (One of the details I don't have is who all went. If you were there, please let us all know and also share any observations you had.) Apparently we weren't the only ones informed of the Rock's location, because it seemed as though EVERY Ophidian in all of Britannia gathered to stop us.
There were many deaths on our side as we fought our way through the horde of snakes, but finally we were on the doorstep of Cove ORC Fort. Inside, behind a lot of Ophidian Executioners, Death Guards, Mages, Magi and others, we spotted the TRUE Ophidian Queen. More deaths followed on our side, but finally, this ultra-strong Queen fell. The Rock and another Note were retrieved, and we gated back to Britain. Again, the Note directed that the Stone be given to a Shopkeeper, and it was.
When it was all said and done, my little group went back to Despise. Once there, I was able to find not one but TWO wonderful Dragon companions. Many thanks to all who helped!
