Lottery

Basics:
-2 tickets per account. I just hope players are honest.
-one(1) ticket costs 5000 gold.
-tickets are numbered and the prizes will be rolled in a given time and place.
The special ticket mailbox will be closed from the beginning to the grand rolling finale.
-When you buy a ticket, .own it and drop it in my (special)mailboxes.(so it will look like: Aunt May's ticket #XX)
(one box holds only 149 items, 2tickets/account would only allow 74½ players to drop the ticket in)

-When the winners have been randomly chosen using dice(program),
I will drop your prize in your marked ticketbag->Lost&Found
so you don't actually have to be there while the event is on
This is all about trust, there will be no favoring friends.
-I won't take any part of the gold or items(I'm basically just giving money and stuff away).
-I will pronounce the day when i/the other "rolls the winners",
(most likely using some random-dice-roller-software )
Every tickets wins(ooh!).

The lottery isn't on yet, this is just a plan to do one. Give me week or two to finish this.
I won't put the lottery on if players give me alot of negative feedback.

-Ingame advertizer/reminder for the players who don't read forums so often.

Some idea came out while i was talking with von Hel in irc: How to witness the dicerolling.
I figured out two ways. There's some rpg-software(can't remember name), where people can log in and there's some random dice roller, everyone could see the results that way.
Secondly, i remember seeing some bot in IRC with some script...saing !1d249 to the bot would make it generate random number between 1-249, everyone in the specific channel would see the result.
Those are few ways to get people see the actual results and wouldn't have to think it's arranged that certain players get all the good stuff.

There is a #WoD IRC channel on stratics, just have to put up a diceroller bot to use it I would guess.

OK, just had a few minutes, and set up a diceroller bot in mirc for the WoD channel. I will have to log it on for you when needed, so let me know if you are interested in it.

I'm a bit confused Bassett. Are you saying players can buy just one ticket, or 2 tickets? And they each cost 5000?

Players can buy 2 tickets, 5k each=10k for both tickets.

The ticketmoney will be added to the pot, not sure how many prizes will be gold, probably: #1: 75% and then few minor ones.

The leaving of so many players got my mood all low, i'll be off WoD for sometime. This lottery/drawing-event is not going to happen.
