Rebels, snakes and rats ...

*Thomas*

How appropriate, 3 things that just seem to belong together, *snickers*.

Angelica and I were chatting in the Bank of Britain, trying to decide what it was we wanted to do for the evening when Toten Na-Atei came to our rescue, by informing us and others of an incursion into Serpents Hold, so we set out along with Crozius Eisengrim and Nox Starfire to see about cleaning up the town a bit. We were met immediately by Angry Townspeople and some of their allies, for the most part Praetorian, and some Buccaneer's Den types (pirates, bone knights, necromancers ect). No boats were in evidence, so we have no clue how it was they arrived on the island, perhaps they tunneled, or a few of the smarter of them fled the scene before we got to the docks, In hind sight a sweep of the nearby waters may have been a good choice. Ah well. In any case, the incursion was shortly dealt with. We gated around to a few other towns to see if anything else was up but came up empty. We bid Crozious a good night as he had to go attend other matters.

As we were still felling a bit perky, decided to hit the Pillar of Fire and the Lizard Fountain, nothing really to report there, both went as usual, well, Wind seemed a bit lightly inhabited, perhaps the Shadow People are planning something, another thing to watch out for. *Adds to to-do list*.

Next on the agenda was Cove Fort and the snake people, here's a tip, If your taking boat loads of damage it's a good idea to, like, look around and see what's causing it. I'm standing there thinking to myself, boy this Queen and Magi combo sure is dishing out a lot of damage, It's a really good thing I have 2 good mages backing me up here, AFTER we get those dead, I see the other Queen and Mage that were hiding under the south platform casting on me, right 2 queens and a magi, 110 resist or no, I should have been dead, a little pile of cinders blowing in the wind.

We've cleared through a good part of the fort, when theres a flurry of death cries, we've been moving along at a pretty good clip so pass on messaging about those, then there's another one, so we message, an Ancient rat in vesper, that sounds like more fun than snakes, so we go over there, now, just as an aside up till now, we've been sticking together real good, and staying all, alive and everything, it's been a good happy hunt. Something happened when we hit Vesper, that all fell apart.

The list of participants at this point is fairly long (and a good portion of them are dead at one point or another), Myself, Angelica, Nox Starfire, Toten Na-Atei, Skeeter Byrch, Gabe, Raybell, Nicholao Samson, Adonis Agave,Thane Stormrider, Belle Remings, Scott, Covenant Atei, and Hunter, I hope I didn't miss anyone.

What we were faced with was usual graveyard residents (threat level low), some vampires (threat level low-medium) lots and lots of assorted giant rates, Ancient, Deadly (not really all that deadly but they take a loooong time to put down with melee weapons), Poisonous, Spectral, Magic, Fire, Etherial and average Giant rats.

I really don't know how to describe the chaos that ensued ...

People tried to work together some, but we never really got very organized, and there were good stretches of "every man for himself", along with many deaths, at one point I think upwards of half to three quarters of the people present were dead, and awaiting recovery. Things got even more frantic when the 15 minute storm warning message came in. The whole thing is a blur really. Perhaps someone else can attempt an actual discription of the battle.

Aye, was complete chaos...found myself the victim of multiple deaths and unable to find my gear for a few hair raising moments just as the clock wound down to 10 minutes ... 9 minutes...*looks to see the new crop of grey hair*! Well for me and I hope for all the others in similar straits, I did find my kit and got out of Vesper in one piece..well minus a few chunks of flesh

In relation to this, I was running around trinsic as Thomas shoping for more decor when I came to an Island within the city walls where Preats, pirates, brigands and Angry Townies. I was about to bust into them when I remembered that I was playing my Bard.

Remembering my promise not to do that to the seers, Thomas returned home and got his older cousin Orion. Orion's wife Neassa Alaxion joined him and the proceeded to clear out Trinsic.

It was only a small portion of the big picture and thank God there were no funky rats. More people would have been called in but they were busy in Vesper.

(I love this plotline.)
