Well, just put UO back on my dad's PC at home here, upgraded fully from OSI, put all the WoD files in, but whenever I enter my account name and password to go to the next screen, I get an error. The error includes this file
C:\DOCUME~1\BOB\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER13C.tmp.dir00\appcompat.txt
Anyone know a fix to this?

windows and UO versions are always helpfull.

Though if I didn't know any better I'd say its WinME.

However I'm clueless as to the cause

Sounds like 2000/XP actually. 9x/ME doesn't use the Documents and Settings folder, like the NT based ones do.

Yeah, I was in a hurry when I typed it. It's running Windows XP, 256 MB Ram, 2.0 GHz. I've been looking on the internet and one source says its Windows Media Player v9.xx that causes the problem. Just wondering if anyone could verify this or think of a solution? :)

doh, you right, I had a brain fart there.

Yes I would check to make sure that read and write rights are turned on for all, thats the user(you) and system.
