As told by Thomas:
Whilst attempting to push back yet another incursion of Sandwellerf from the mallward end of Nujel'm *wonders if what we call sand is actually dweller eggs or something * I received a message from Cathavene saying that she had discovered and odd map in the posession of the lizard folk inhabeting Covetous. She wished to know both if I would like to help excavate the site of the map and if I knew anyone else who would like to come along as well.
After conferring with my teammates (Angelica, Cloudchaser and Rydalia), I let her know that we would be happy to help, and would need a few minutes to clear our packs and resupply. By the time all that was accomplised, Cathavene had met up with us at the Bank of Britain (yay!), but Angelica and Rydalia had decided that the clock was against them and they would have to leave (boo!).
So, there was the 3 of us looking althernatly at the "Big Bad Ogre Lord Treasure Map" and each other, not liking much the size of our reduced group. To our rescue came Carpy and Finch, both of whome said they would love to help with the excavation.
The map turned out to lead to the Hidden Valley west of trinsic. We were somewhat suprised to find various Ogre Lords guarding what is normally a tranquil site. These louts included
You see: Juan the Big Bad Ogre Lord Twin
You see: Don the Big Bad Ogre Lord Twin
You see: Jolly the Big Bad Ogre Lord Enforcer
You see: Chuckles the Big Bad Ogre Lord Bouncer
You see: Sweetie the Big Bad Ogre Lord Sentry
You see: Happy the Big Bad Ogre Lord Greeter
You see: Misty the Big Bad Ogre Lord Friend
We made fairly quick work of that lot, as well as the dozen or so giant serpents that were congregating down buy the stone building at the south end of the valley.
We dug up the chest and made a plan, I would pop the chest and try to keep the guardians attention, while Carpy and Finch came in from the sides, Cathavene and Cloudchaser would offer whichever support was needed most, either sniping with spells or healing.
I popped the chest .... Plans are great things often making things go smoother, but not always ... the others had stood back far enough (or so we thought) that when the chests guardians appeared they would lock on the first thing they saw (me), not so ... all 7 Ogre Lords that came out took one look at Cloudchaser and decided they liked her better *sniffles*. After a a longer and more frantic battle than we had anticipated, the Ogre Lords were dead, and we had all managed to remain alive.
Many thianks to everyone who participated in whatever form.
