Sell request

Maybe you can add this to your Friday Wish List, oh great and mighty Drocket :)

It would be good to have an option to sell a bag of items that overrides your normal item sell settings, ie, I don't sell potions as I like a lot of them, but I don't keep agility and others, so I sell them with a 'sell all'. A good addition would be the addition of a 'sell all bag' command (or something similar) which would sell eveything within a targeted bag that can be sold. Just an idea for your consideration.

What's wrong with just using sell bag? Wouldn't this give you the same results?

put a potion bag in your pack somewhere and drop a potion of eash sort you plan to keep in it. then turn on the autostack feature and make sure those are the only potions of that type you have. from then on any of those potions you like will go into the potion bag and you can sell off what's in the loot bag.

What about group hunts? I mean isn't it stealing if you're the looter and items you loot aren't going into the loot bag to be sold or shared among your fellow players?

I think a sell all or trash everything in this bag option would be good for large quests where tons upon tons of loot is taken. I say that as some one who has many times been the looter.

if that presents a problem for you don't loot. another possibility is to take a peek inside the potion bag before you start and chuck the excess into the loot bags. perhaps toss some personal gold into the kitty in lieu of the items kept from the loot.
it's commendable that you care about this but i would be surprised if anyone felt all that hard done by if a few dozen potions don't make it into the kitty at the end of a hunt.

I'm the looter quiet often as well, I turn autostack on only when I solo.(which isn't to often as I prefer to group hunt) But just remember to turn it off if you are the looter for a group hunt.

When im looting on a quest or group hunt I just throw in about 15-20k to cover whatever doesnt go into my loot bag because of auto-stack.

Good ideas, but here's why I'd still like to see the sell all bag idea implemented:

By turning on the selling of potions, if I run out in my potion bag (I DO have autostack turned on) I would possibly sell the potions I would like to keep. I don't have an alchemist to make them, and contrary to popular opinion, I am rarely suffused with an excess of gold to purchase potions and other sundries, unless I have to. (Too many death taxes, combined with limited play time :) ). My ideal scenario would be to do a sell bag, go thru it and .sort bank (to get everything I keep stacked in the bank out of the bag, like hides and stuff), look thru the bag to make sure nothing else is there I want to keep, then sell everything in the bag than can be sold, ie, potions, remaining gems, etc. with the new 'sell all bag' command. As to why the sell bag command doesn't work, it is because I do keep some items like some potions, not all. I am also not totally convinced autostack works with everything, as I seem to have seen regs getting stacked in my loot bag that I know I have in my reg bag. I am still in the middle of testing this to be sure if it works or not :)

In the course of even a long group hunt, how many of these "keeper" items do you think you accumulate? Kale said he throws in extra gold to cover the items and that seems like a reasonable course of action to me.

As far as I can tell, autostack works on just about anything.

er, i think i made a poor hijacking here.

On large hunts, large amounts of items pile up, hides, scrolls, other stuff, if it doesn't sell with sell bag but does sell with sell all, you have to target each item, and some times there can be alot of stackables that don't sell.

So adding a option to sell everything in a bag but magics, would ease things a tad, but not if it is too much work for D.
