ATTN: Order Guards of the Realm!
Posted: Wed Apr 02, 2003 9:09 pmLike previously discussed on another thread, I'm arraging for us to get together for our first official assembly in well...how long has it been, two years now?
What I'd like to know is what times work best for you. I'm proposing we meet this sunday afternoon/night, a meeting that shouldn't take longer than an hour (but certainly no less than half an hour). If this sunday does not work for you please post here the times that you would be available during the week, or next weekend.
Weeknights are usually a no-no for me, except for wednesdays and thrusdays nights. Other than that, only sundays (anytime on sunday) would work for me, and maybe a saturday night.
So what's the purpose of this meeting? Primarily to discuss matters of ettiquete and proper behavior within our ranks, maybe even arrange to start working on an official code of Chivalry for future generations of Order knights to follow (this would be the first time something like this has been attempted).
Secondly, I'd like see our Order become more organized. The way I propose we accomplish this task is to elect some new officers, model members of our Order, to perform certain duties like to provide guidance and instruction to new recruits.
Finally, this will be an excellent opportunity for new and old knights to get to know each other better.
I know I've met quite a few guards in the last few weeks but haven't really gotten the chance to sit down and get to really know anyone. As you well know, to make as many friends as possible is a necessity in our Order. Perhaps we could even have a hunting session after the meeting (for old times sakes
)
