Or possibly searching out new hunting grounds, either way Cloudchaser and I encounted an Ophidian scout up in the Yew forest last night, there was no indication of his buisness there, perhaps they ran out of orcs to eat at cove and are looking for a new food source?

he could have been there for a guard quest as well, I've been given a few for up that area

I don't believe that ophidian scouts are normal everyday monsters.
