I wouldn't say nothing happened last night...

Postby ShadowStone on Sat Apr 24, 2004 6:03 pm

Last night I joined Edison, Magus, Angelica, and Ki'Anna Styrodan in the Druid's Circle. We made our way to the Yew Abbey and then to the Healers looking for shadowpack. After coming across no shadowpack, we settled down and made small talk for a bit. Magus slung on his bow and killed an innocent goat, to which the goat corpse started berating him about killing animals like that. Magus simply replied "you're dead, you can't talk", and that was that :)

We decided to gate near the Brigand camp and were almost immediately beset by heavier than normal spawn. Near the end we found a Bad Treasure Map, located on Ice Isle right next to shrine (IMNSHO opinion was a bad sign of what was to come). The chest spawn was relatively weak, only some OL's, Titans, and Ice Fiends. After some toadings, we came out unscathed. The OL corpse told us we wouldn't be so lucky next time to we replied once again that you're dead and can't talk. The corpse responded "oh yeah, shhh." After some more small talk about the name we are forbidden to speak of ;), I killed an Ice Troll and found a Dragon Treasure. Unfortuntely Ed had to leave us at this time. We quickly banked, and split the quest items. One was a red wolf in totem form and the other was a ranger-green broadsword of power and Clumsiness.

Anna recruited our friendly assassin Drogh and we set off to Fire Island where the Dragon Treasure was located. Unfortuntely Angel's red wolf Totem did not last long and promptly perished :( . We quickly fount the chest, opened it up and out popped a variety of high-level dragons. Once again no deaths occured. Inside was a dark grey studded leather tunic of fortification and Magic Reflect and a druidic rune of summoning.

The entire time we had been hunting, it seemed to us that Magus had found a new friend, in the form of a little puppy that followed us. Tragically it died everytime Magus got near a monster, but it always seemed to come back. We figured it was part cat, with nine lives and all. The third reincarnation of the dog appeared and Magus once again tamed it.

Rroucu's death cries were soon deafening us, so we decided to go see what the fuss was about. Somehow he had managed to get 3 or 4 shadowpack in the Abbey with all the Brothers and himself. After tripping over all of his corpses, we soon vanquished the trespassing shadowpack and Rroucu aquired his belongings again. Once again after some beating around the bush outside, I meandered off and killed an Ogre, which had a Map of the Dead on it. This particular map was located smack-dab in the middle of the Vesper graveyard.

With our new tank, Rroucu, we headed off to the GY to encounter some very nasty monsters. One new one was called a necro-spectre, seemed to have the mana pool and casting ability of a blood-lich, and hit for -35 or more curses. The beginning of a bloody night was just starting. We also aquired yet another tank, in the form of Joram Lionheart, who in his hurry to get here, dragged 3 of the necro-spectres along with him from the opposite side of the GY :x . Finally after many deaths, we semi-cleared the GY, and Anna had dug up the chest. The plan was to fully clear the place, then open the chest. Joram in his infinite wisdom, or lack of ;), popped the chest, and out popped at least 30 red names. They varied from ancient vamps to undead dragons to necro-spectres. Many more deaths occured, even mine, but we finally came out victorious.

By now I believe the 5th incarnation of the dog was at my side, and we headed back to Brit Bank to split. In the 3rd chest were a lot of regs, and a nose helm of fortification and Sneaking.

I wish to thank everyone who participated, and a huge thank you to the seer who made it possible. That was probably one of the most fun nights I've ever had here on WoD!!! (and I've been here quite a while)

P.S. I'm sorry if I forgot anyone, or spelled their name wrong

The plan? what plan? I walked in to the graveyard after finishing off a couple of vamps (outside) and didn't see anybody around. That's when I saw that nice-looking, brown chest right in the middle and I wondered "Umm, what's this?" :D

Necrospectres appear at the MG GY every once in a while, they hurt pretty bad but they're nothing new.

Wish I could, but for having such a "great" connection here at the university, all the bandwidth is being sucked up by the morons downloading music and...other...stuff hehe
