I need some definitive answers....

Postby Celeste Kendreyl on Sun Mar 14, 2004 2:37 am

I've searched the entire manual, and entered every keyword I can think of that would be associated with the topic, but to no avail... could I get a definitive answer on a couple things? Firstly, I was told when I forst started that putting animal lore in your first primary spec slot would give you the title of "ranger"... now, while this didn't make much sense to me, I accepted it as true here... however, I saw someone tonight with the title of "druid" and asked them what their primary spec slot was, and it was animal lore... ok, so I guess I was right to question animal lore giving a title of "ranger"- it must still be taming here, yes? Is there a listing anywhere of what skills (if put in your primary spec slot) give what title?

Secondly, I checked the site for taming... it says I'd need 119 taming to tame a nightmare... now, I know I can buff even a prim spec up to 110 with clothing, etc., and to 120 if it's a combat skill... but taming isn't a combat skill, so how would one attain the 119 required to tame a nightmare?

Most of the numbers you see for skills in the manual are the number to have a 50% chance of success.

at skill +20 or more you never fail
at skill +10 75% success
at skil -10 25% success
at skill -20 or less you have no chance

Lore gives Druid title as you said, Taming does give ranger.

Hrmm, I was sure there was a list of titles someplace in there, but it isn't leaping out at me either.

Well, in the old manual, it used to list what your title would be under each individual skill listing, but I see that was not included when the manual was changed over to this new frames formating. I'll submit a request to get that added back in.
