After the restart last night. a red was spotted in East Brit. I killed it and found a Moldy Map. I ran to the bank and asked for assistance. Upon locating Leia Ranar to decode it, she was kind enough i to offer to pop the chest for us. Locating the general area, reds started pooping out EVERYWHERE! Took some time, but they were overcome and the chest was spawned. There were tons of various elementals including a poison and a waterspout. Whole search took about 15 - 20 minutes and the loot was about 19000 gp and some Bensons and 4 more green maps. Had a ball! Except one thing.....

Even though I was the one who found the map, I was never consulted as to who the looters would be, who the splitter would be, or anything. Seems that there was one peron who just pushed their way into the whole thing and took over without even asking or stating. After the hunt, the split was done and aparently someone was refusing his share of the gold. The splitter decided that since this person didn't want it, his share of the gold would be trashed. Walked over to the trash and dumped it. Didn't even ask if anyone wanted it or even offer it to the one who died. Just trashed it. I believe this was wrong. To make a decision like that for the whole group without even consulting us, was wrong. It was only about 5k gold, so it isn't the gold that matters. It's the principle. Maybe my mistake was announcing at the bank. You can bet I won't do this again.

Seems the player base is really high quality these days huh.

Seems to me this borders on breaking the rules (its a grey area). I think you could page a GM about it, if only to let them know.
