Reindeer games

Postby Aluviel on Sun Dec 07, 2003 4:16 am

I was thinking we could have a few games for the holidays. Everyone donates to the prize fund that way there are prizes for the winners. Whether it be gold or crafted items. We could do something like drunken horse racing, gambling (dice), pvp tournaments with no buffs or magical items. just skill on skill, maybe a few other games and such.

It would be something nice to get everyone together on and win stuff to. *shrugs* We used to do these kind of things in my old guild on OSI but since WoD isnt big enough to have HUGE guilds all over the place we could just do a shard wide gaming thing

So if its something u want to do post here with some ideas and such. And as for the prize box to keep things straight my house is empty except for one chest so u could use it to store them in or you could do what my old guild did. when you give something to the person holding it for a prize you also hand a book to someone else saying what you gave them that way no one could take anything from the box without it being known about. i doubt you would have that trouble here though. ALMOST everyone seems nice here, even SOME of the "mean" people.

Anyway just thought id post the idea here and see how it goes before i start putting a bunch of effort into it. :santa:

i was just going to post something about pvp tourneys, does anyone even pvp in the pits or are there underground fight clubs where no one knows about them, i wouldnt mind pvp'ing anyone as long as there's a no loot, no death tax policy, no summons (unless its a pure mage vs a fighter)

only place you can do no death tax is the Jhelom fighting pits.

And you cant loot the other person in the pits either. Besides, if you could it would be stealing :)

it's a bit tough to form a pvp group in wod. most of the people who come here are refugee's from that sort of nonsense.

The rules of a Fight Club seem antithetical to the spirit of WOD. I agree with Ehran. There's plenty of bad guys out there with nasty habits that make great opponents.

Try wrestling a titan to death one day. At 60 Wrestling and forgetting to rearm after casting MagicReflect, I managed to stay alive for a while, but eventually had to retreat. I banged my head against the wall for a while after that one. *giggle*

if i get really bored i go find an ogre lord and kill him with a dagger. there are lots of things you can try just to see if you can pull it off.

drunken horse racing is like barrel racing but with drinks in uo and everytime u fall off your horse you have to stop get back on him then continue. who ever completes the track and makes it back to the starting point first without cheating wins
