What do you all think about adding bulk order deeds?

Bulk order deeds, thats when you make a bulk stack of something into deed for easier transporting correct? If so, I don't think we really need it because weight isn't a big issue here. Of course if my notion of a bulk order deed is wrong feel free to chime in.

I assume he is talking about thse

Its a lot of fun collecting the smalls to fill the larges (for some reason I dont understand, I should hate it), unfortunatly the reward structure wouldn't really fit in too well here.

You're forgeting that you can make the reward whatever you want, it doesn't have to be a 100% copy.

I like it becuase you have to get all the raw stuff your self, it's not like jobbing here.

I also like that fact the tools only have so many uses that could be usefull. Get people out to mine and craft.

I'm all for improving gameplay

I actually have to agree with Simon on this one (assuming he's for them). I enjoyed the bulk order deeds of OSI. As of right now, blacksmiths are useless except for repairing, and tinkers can repair most of what a blacksmith can anyways. Plus Tinkers are much more useful.

I'm totaly for them, though I'd hope the Drocket took the system and made it his own. Just so its not the same as everyone else out there.

Maybe the rewards for the deeds could be something similar to guard quests in that they have chances of being magics and decos. Of course if gold was a possibility it'd need to be more than the guard quest amounts to cover the time/resources.

Of course, anything to end them other threads :)

Tons of things could be done, the ideas just need to be tossed out in order to form something.

I just applied few days ago for other shard to mining/smithing and making bods all day long :)
Something i've always wanted to do :)

See that, people are leaving here, the greatest shard on earth to find and do BODs, I should add i have done the same, tis not much fun being away from my friends here though.

Actually, I do have to agree that the bulk order deed system is pretty good (crappy name, though :P ) Jobbing is a bit, well, generic and boring. BoD add some more interaction to the process, which is a good thing. So it is something that will almost certainly happen someday, in some way, shape or form (though obviously, not exactly how OSI does it.) That's a pretty big project, though, so it may be a while...

Now when i've played few days on the other shard, i got pretty much bored on bod's :)
Thought it was nice to try out different stuff :)

I'm really fond of the AoS style crafting system as I’ve been calling it. I like the scales that can used to get a different color, also not all ingots are the same, and you do get better armor and weapons from better ingots.

After doing a few BODs I had enough ingots left over, to build me a nice suit of armor, and for some reason I was really happy with it. The whole system felt more interactive to me. From the pickaxe getting 50 uses, 1 ore per use it seams, to the smithy hammers having 50 uses too, and because you could only carry so much weight you had to return to town to replace the tools.

I really like the way crafting works in that, for every item you have less of a chance to make an exceptional item then a normal one, and it tells you what that chance is, i.e. 100% chance for normal and 78% chance for exceptional.

Right now its all about magic’s, but with some work I think blacksmithing and mining could be reworked so that players have a chance to craft great weapons, which overall gives the player a better feeling then finding or buying a good magic item I think.

*wonders if Drocket is as much a scripting god in C# as he is in escript*
