Greywolfe,
Have no doubt that I took notice of your library. And as I said, I think this idea is great - between you and Laephis I have been convinced (argument-wise) that having a new landmass would be a positive thing. Also as I said, I wasn't out to bash you, or your idea: I think it's a great idea that certainly could be an exciting addition to the shard. These kinds of labours of love: from the Fellowship Hall, to custom scrips to even new landmasses, are the contributions that let players impact the world and shape it for the better. What Laephis mentioned in his post reinforces this.
One question I must ask though: When you say that it is "part" of the Britannian world, can that be taken literally as part of the Britannia of Ultima fame, or do you just mean developmentally (map-wise)? As I understand it, WoD isn't 'really' part of the Ultima/OSI experience, and is sort of a generic fantasy world in it's own right. Would your addition be part of this generic fantasy world and in preserving that, have a story that goes with it?
I know I've asked you before if you had a way to introduce the part of the world you're designing, but what I'm asking now is if it will be introduced in a way that fits in with the WoD world. Logic would decry that it would be though, but if it's another "kill X monster to get to Y landmass" I'm going to scream.
If you need any help, Greywolfe with anything, drop me a message here or via PM. Most people will certainly tell you that I'm full of .... ideas.
Thanks for the discussion. I appreciate you hearing me out, and handling it well.
