This really has gone too far

*Thomas*

Last night, I'm minding my own buisness finishing up a few things in the Bank of Britain, and these Praetorian scum, scuse me, Scouts start wandering around the bank just poking thier noses into everything. What is this world coming to.

After encouraging thime to leave, I did a circuit of town convincing a few others to take up residence in whatever nether relm it is they reside in after death.

Some time after that, I got word via Cyrus that there were yet MORE of them camping out on the beach a lil bit to the east of the Britain Moongate, probably some kind of smuggling (or worse) operation in the works.

Not only were there Praetorian there but some of the former townspeople, aka the rebel scum, aka the angry townspeople were there chatting it up with them, well, that little party needed to be broken up so Cyrus Eisengrim and I threw in our lot with Egbad Stormhawk, Jasper and Lotheris Bloodoak in dealing with them.

On the up side, it seems the Praetorian are having a bit of bad luck of late, most or all of the Knights and Lords were afoot, instead of on thier ususal war ostards.

Oh, I am quite sure some sort of orders were recovered during the retaking of the beach, but I am not in possession of the document. So can't relay its contents here.

I hear tell there was another encampent out to the east of town, presumably it was dealt with in a smiliarm manner.

Aye Eldric
That little encampment in east Britain forest was dealt with by myself, Macitor and my 2 Henchmen.....or should I say Henchwomen, Echo and Gaea.
We had heard from someone in the bank about some stirrings outside east Britain so the 4 of us decided to take a gander.
We were greeted by a flurry of Angry Townsfolk and several Praetorians. Order by that little ambush was gained rather quickly by the 4 of us. Upon tracking we saw more than we would like to deal with so I called for backup. The response was that there was another ambush that was being dealt with at the same time.
I tell Macitor, Echo and Gaea, "Looks like we're on our own".
Macitor quickly replies, "Lets get em".
Echo then chimes in, "Herakles, you are having a bad hair day".
Gaea just stood there waiting for her orders.
We then moved on fighting valiantly by each others sides. A few times we had to retreat due to an onrush of foes. After disposing of those, we continued.
We even ran into a "Nasty Praetorian" which I killed and lopped off his head for later preservation.
After what seemed like hours of fighting we came upon a General, Lord and 2 Scouts. The General was the first to fall, then a scout, the Lord was a bit tougher but downed him and finally the last scout. I believe it was the Lord that I received a "secret missive" from. Here is what it read:
"Start massing troops outside Britain but do not attack just yet. I will send word when all is in readiness.
The Prophet"

Now I am wondering, when they said start massing troops outside Britain.......was that the 2 ambushes that we experienced last night? Or was that just the beginning.
I believe we have no worry if thats the best they can hit us with. But if it were just the beginning and this was sort of a warning of things to come.....we may be in for a bit of a fight.
The 4 of us did a good job together but I believe there is going to be something big where we will need many more to conquer them.
Thanks to those brave warriors who fought them on the west side.
We must stand guard while in small numbers. Seems like they can be anywhere.

Aye Herakles! and a favorite of times it WAS, Laddy! (chuckles) Stand a chance, they didn't! Even with their battle buddy, an Ancient Dragon, they couldn't hold their ground.

Aye ... they were out in high numbers. I'll attest to that. hehehe ... it took me some time to get prepared to do some investigatin' with my buddy Herakles and his sidekicks. While they waited on myself, Herakles made a rather snippy comment to me,"They are probably ALL DEAD by NOW!!" Knowin' the lad just return the favor from an earlier jab I gave him, I just brushed it off and went on my way preparin'. Dead indeed, Herakles. Did you see just how "dead they ALL" were? hehehe

Sorry about the note Eldric. I logged off in a hurry last night and realized I had it in my bag.

It says something like "Gathering troops outside Britain. Do not attack yet."

Hehe Macitor.....
Its become rather an amusement throwing little jabs your way. But you always seem to make it backfire on me.
Its always a pleasure hunting side by side with you. I rarely get a feeling of dismay while hunting with you. Although we havent hunted together for a very long time, it seems as if we've been doing it for years. Keep up the good work Buddy!!!
I'm sure one day we'll get our lunch. But until then, lets enjoy it.
Oh, and stay away from Bambi!!! LOL

Hmm, I wonder when the Prophet plans to attack! Hopefully there will be some indication. I hope the Praet's dumped their nasty allies, the rats.
