My lost and Found

Postby Aislin on Mon Aug 09, 2004 5:08 pm

I wanted to share with everyone an experience i recently had on WOD.

Last week one of my chars (Brenna Garrick) was hunting in Famine. She was killed and possibly looted. There was some confusion and several people ended up looting her plus the mob.

Eventhough a hurried escape was made Brenna thought she had only lost a pair of dexterity earrings. Not playing her for a few days i later realized that her Tempered Short Pants of Magery were missing.

Everyone was asked, who was there that day, to search through their packs just in case it had been overlooked.

No such luck.

Saturday night Kirsten, Scott, Edward, Azaron and myself went back to Famine to see if they could be found. We killed and looted all of Famine, which is not an easy task these days, to no avail.

I was a little bummed. I havent had those pants but a month or so and i had spent almost all my money on them.

Sunday morning as i signed on i was greeted at the bank by my friends from the night before. They gathered together and presented me with a backpack.
In the pack was a book that had a list of names who had donated something. 5000 ingots were in the bag, as well as a Benson oil.

I couldnt believe my eyes as they started welling up with tears. I had been worried about my prized possession and here were my friends gathered around me trying to make me feel better. At first i felt a little ashamed to have worried about such a trivial thing as a buff. When what was important was the friendships i have made here and they were proving to me i still had that in abundance.
Who needed tempered Magery buffs when you had friends like these beside you to make you feel safe..

People leave this shard for some pretty silly reasons sometimes. I, for one, know what WOD is all about.
WOD is a family shard. Not just for your whole family, but to become part of theirs.

Here is the list of names:

Scott Myr
Edward Tristan
Kirsten Darkstar
Taiba Skyfire
Aimee Duklain
Azaron
Orion Michaels
Andy Van Gothe
Lione
Zhou Heng
Lars
Kunai Zephoria

Thank you, my friends, for cheering me up and making me feel loved.

That's awesome!

Certain people have really helped me out too when I needed it, and even when I didn't...not mentioning any names... :p

I'm very sorry I couldn't help miore as far as the magery buff goes. I was with you in Famine but I didn't loot any corpses. If I remember right, you, Edward, and Ed's alternate character were the only looters. The gift was pretty cool though.

thats right Zan....but it seemed to cause some confusion on who had what and where...dont get me wrong at all, im not blaming anyone.

It was my own fault...i even thought Aislin had just forgotten to give it back to Bren and had left it in her top pack. Then when you and i went back to Famine the next day....i could of lost it then when i died. It would of totally been my fault for leaving it in my top pack. Im just not sure when or where it was lost.

What im saying is...it no longer matters. I feel no loss anymore. I am very lucky to have such good people around me.
