First, is there a possibility of revising the AG items that can be bought?
A couple years ago, that list of items was impressive and much coveted. But almost everyone has a furniture dye tub now (or can get one from a friend or use the one at the Haunt), and maps are relatively easy to find. The item repair kits might still be somewhat rare, even though they were offered as Xmas gifts last year, but how often do you really need them anyway (ok, some possible upcoming changes Drocket alluded to might make these more valuable)? Metal laminiating and leather dye kits might be of some use, but I have been quite happy to laminate or "reinforce"my magic armors with the existing ingot/hide colors, since they are mostly covered up by clothes anyway.
In general though, I look on those quests mostly as something to do with friends and another way to gain virtue. I have never actually spent any of the points.
How about offering additional items and changing the "prices" on some existing stuff like the dye tubs? How about offering MIBs, obsidian/porcelain repair kits (or just plain obsidian and porcelain), and maybe one or two deco deeds?
How about a "cooperative arrangement" with Benson that allows you to spend AG points with him? AG points are just about as hard to come by as Bensonable magic items, but maybe it should be at a 2:1 ratio (AG points to Benson) since you can also find magic items while doing AG quests.
But that brings me to my second Friday Wish: How about offering a few more items on Benson? That way, if people don't want to take a chance on the current potions, they still have something to spend those points on
How about an elixer that turns wooden furniture into their stone counterparts (chairs and tables would be the only possibilities I think). Value this at, say, 50 credits and 5k gold.
How about a magic stone (like a manastone) that would add charges to existing magic items? Similar value here: 50 credits, 5k gold.
What if you combined the silver mining idea with Benson? Give Benson your silver ingots and, in addition to spending some of your credits with him and some gold, he gives you the silver laminating potion that you use on your weapons?
Well, those are just a few ideas, some of which I've been kicking around for a while and some of which I just thought up (so they might need some work).
