Large Scale Invasion in Eastern Britain!

Hundreds of Branubians and Shaboolis in Eastern Britain!

When I logged in today, I found out that there were several numubians inside my house and a lot of them outside. Thanks god we had enough players online.

There has been many valiant warriors fighting them and war still continues. Only server restart made us to quit it for a while.

Looks like most of them have been killed now..and some of us even saw the name of Crenshaw blinking there.

When restart is done I hope that our Valiant Warriors gather all the pover we have and sweep those puny skirtwearing beasts away from our home.

Finally theyre all defeated!

The ones who were sharing got 8600 gc each after 7 hours fight. (edited)

One magic item was worth rolling (warfork of power) and Thane Stormrider is the happy owner of it now.

However we found 2 notes!

First the one Belle got in the beginning of this fight:

Your belowed town is under distress!!!
HAHAHAHAAAAA

Then when splitting the loot I found this from my bag (I could swear that I never looted it):

Lucky for Britain and this Twilight guy, you came before we can finish our task. You won´t be so lucky next time. Next time, Britain and all it´s occupants will perish!

signed: Grudeon

Thanks again to all who participated. That was a fight really worth fighting.

Just so everyone know the note bella had was found on the body of a Branubian Captain by the entrance to Despise. With-in moments of reading the note they launched the attack on Brit, and the battle was on.

I would like to thank everyone who rezed me during the battle. Thank you so much.

Keep pointing this out and I'll see to it that there is no loot at all on quests in the future. I'm just that petty.

Our seers work their tails off and pointing this sorta thing out makes me very unhappy.

I'm appalled that anyone would post and state that the loot was poor on a quest. Anyone concerned about how much loot is or isn't obtained is questing for all the wrong reasons and should probably avoid quests if it bothers them enough to post about it.

I dont think it is about the loot as if hunting in a dungon. But rather that many times many of the same players fight these invasions day after day after day. And after many deaths, there isnt enough to pay atleast the death taxes.

On one such invasion near despise, there was only a few of us. It took over 7 hrs to beat back the invasion. When all was done, I myself died approx. 10 times and my death taxes came to 58k+. I was lucky to have enough in my bank box to cover the shortage, after accounting what there was after the split.

I think that Maddox may like to see atleast enough to help cover these taxes, especially by players who dont have millions sitting around.

I know if I couldnt hunt 60k to 100k each day, I would have to sit out these invasions. And I get involved in 2 to 3 invasions each day.

But the fact that people do show up for these invasions, knowing there is little to no loot to be had says something about the players as well.

I like the admins and seers look around the world when these quests goes on and just see how many players dont go because of the lack of loot. Then look at the ones who do go on these invasions each day. Your going to see many of the same players at each invasion while others never go to help out. And others only when they feel like joining in.

That's a shame, really.

It's not a duty, it's a privilege.

You don't hunt often, do you?

ehb wrote: I think that Maddox may like to see atleast enough to help cover these taxes, especially by players who dont have millions sitting around.

Maddox is just gonna have to sit out the next quest or so. I'm giving my personal invitation for him to do so.

ehb wrote: I get involved in 2 to 3 invasions each day.

You lucky SOB.

ehb wrote: But the fact that people do show up for these invasions, knowing there is little to no loot to be had says something about the players as well.

I'm glad that this is the first time in 4 years someone has complained on these boards that there was a "lack of loot" on a quest. From the bottom of my heart I hope that you and Maddox are alone in feeling this way.

ehb wrote: I like the admins and seers look around the world when these quests goes on and just see how many players dont go because of the lack of loot.

Name me one player who has ever sat out of a quest because of the lack of loot.

ehb wrote: Your going to see many of the same players at each invasion while others never go to help out.

And now I know why they don't join every quest. Pfft.

It is true that gold must not transfer through the portal from the future, so it is hard for those knee deep in death robes to carry on the fight. But if we keep Brit safe, in the end I'm sure the Queen's reward for those who have died again and again will be worth the blood spilt.

On another note, for those who find themselves needing to exit the battle field please give what you have looted to someone who is there. If your bag is owned I'm sure you will get a share.

Please Sebastian,

I have never been on quest because of loot. I only wrote down the facts so the others who had to quit earlier won´t be disappointed (most of them got nothing).

Please don´t pick a word or two from my post because they really weren´t important at all.

English is only my 3rd language so sometimes I can´t say everything in right tone of voice.

You didn't know what you were saying when you said:

I see. Allow me to assist to avoid further indiscretions:

- Loot is treasure, gear, gold found on mobs.
- Once again means it's happened before
- poor means not valuable or bad

I'll use them in a sentence:

Loot may not be appearing in an upcoming quest because, once again, the poor attitude of some players has ruined the fun for all.

I'm going to jump to Maddox's defense,I'm rather appauled at the way people here have attacked him. Most here have known him for quite some time and should know that loot means nothing to him.I have hunted with him numerous times and he oftens refuses to even take his share of the loot.So to insinuate that he would he would go on a quest for the loot is absolutely absurd. As he stated,he was merely relaying the events as they took place for those players like myself that had to leave before it was concluded.

You seem to be in a really good mood today =)

The people (including me)who have been fighting against these Branubians daily knows that they won´t be getting much loot from it. I wasn´t complaining in any way, only tried to write down the facts. These fights have been really great and people who have been there fight after fight do know it.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but if I happened to die 10 times on one quest, I'd be asking myself what adjustments I needed to make to my playstyle to fix that right away. I wouldn't be expecting the seers or admin to compensate me with enough loot to cover my own shortcomings. I've attended several of the invasions outside of Despise. A few of them I left in total disgust. Like it was mentioned in another thread, these recent events with the Branubians have been little more than free for alls with every man out for themselves. I've watched fellow players die unnecessarily due to the inconsideration of others. I've watched people drop dead from poison and no one could grab their bars to cure them because they had a dragon standing on top of them. I've watched mages run in at full speed, then run back with 20 or so mobs locked on them, which once outran, promptly locked on another mage who was trying his best to heal others. I could go on and on, but I won't waste my time. For some reason, people are hell bent on making these attacks by the Branubians a lot harder than they really are. Using a little common sense, courtesy, group cohesiveness and good fighting tactics will result in a better time for all. You might find that the more experienced players will be more willing to join in, and I can almost guarantee you will be paying less death taxes :P
