Hiya,
I'm sure someone must have asked this at some point but I didn't see it anywhere so I'll ask. I'm on dialup which usually does fine for in game etc but downloads really suck on it. Is it possible to have updated files posted on the site in separate links so as not to have to download the entire file library for the shard? I'm downloading the files right now for the new xmas items and such but truly I'm sure you didn't update every file in this zip lol.
Would be a nice touch I think for those of us on dialup
Thanks,
Kari

Even if they were all updated, it'd probably be handy to take them a piece or two at a time, I imagine. I always hated losing connection on a download with 10K left to go and having to start it all downloading from the start again.

Looking at the zip file it seems that 90% of the download is one file, not really sure this would help all that much. Though I suppose its always nice to have options.
Now if we could get a diff file from the old file to the new one, that might be nice.

Try Getright, if you get D/C it will pick right up after a redail and with some luck it will speed up most downloads too

The reason that I didn't make seperate files is pretty much what Eldric said: there's one file (the main one that was changed) takes up 5M. The rest of the files are only like 0.5M. Since there's not much difference in size anyway, I figured that having multiple versions would be more confusing than it would be worth.

Was the actual wodclient.exe modified at all?

It appears to be the 2.x client rather than the 3.x version, but other than that I don't see any changes

Yes, it is the 2.x client but most of the players probably still use that one. Same datestamp and bytes as the April release of it so I'm not sure why it was in there but having it there wouldn't adversely affect anyone that uses the 2.x client anyway. Not a big deal.
