Further Snowing of the Man.

Thomas strolled into the bank looking to organize a band of adventurers to check travellers' complaints that the road to Minoc had been closed by the dread Snow Orks and their frigid minions. I found myself the only volunteer but to be fair the perceived threat was small and there weren't many heroes about.
Just before we left Aaron sought our aid in dispatching a nightmare near covetous which we readily agreed to do. We had barely stepped through the gate when we were assaulted by the frozen creatures. the initial wave was slaughtered in satisfactory time and we sought out the nightmare which met a similar fate. Aaron took the head back for his reward and Thomas and i sought out the tribe of snow orks. splitting up we searched high and low finding little groups to dispatch before thomas found significant numbers along the road itself. we regrouped and began methodically slaughtering our way towards Minoc. This was going along happily when who should come thundering up the road but Cloudchaser who gleefully threw the full weight of her magic into the fray. What had been a losing battle for the snow orks became a summary slaughter at that point. We cleared the road and then the woods where we found a knot of doughty snow ork warriors led by their king who failed to introduce himself at all. that may be excused i guess because right shortly after we met him Cloudchaser blew his head right off with an energy bolt leaving him naught to speak with. i still maintain he could have used sign language, i mean thomas had only removed one arm with this hally at that point. We recovered a note from this unnamed ork king's body.

our time is nearing
prepare to gather forces
we shall meet them soon
upon my word

signed The Ancient Snowmaster

Seems our ork king had moved ahead of schedule and his tribe was wiped out for it. I do hope this snowmaster fellow has a sufficient supply of minions to keep us entertained when he does make his move. it would seem so far that 50 or 75 to one odds are insufficient to even slow us down.
