You're on a free shard, playing for free, with people who work on it for nothing but the kindness of their hearts and the enjoyment of the game.
You may want to rephrase that.

Indeed you should rephrase your statements,we get to play on a free shard run by people who work very hard to make it an enjoyable place for us.If you had been reading the tech forum superdude you would know there has been a problem with a router,a problem speakeasy is attempting to fix.

We don't pay to play here. The people that bring this game to us incure ALL costs.
I would say tough beans.

I just said that this is just getting stupid. What is the point of playing.
in the last week I lost 400K worth of items.
and if I dont get my stuff back this time that is stuff from 2 players and would equal some wear around 700K worth of stuff I have lost.

I apologize for running out like I did before the
crash. I had a phone call and needed to take care of something asap. If I caused any one to die I'm sorry.

So, you are saying that you just lost some FREE stuff from other players... stuff you didn't spend a dime on, nor lift a finger to attain other than click the little blue diamond. My response is ... "Awwwww"
If it is SO BAD, quit. You won't have actually lost anything *except your temper* and you won't have to worry about losing anything else in the future.
It is not like you haven't lost connection before. If it is the first time, lucky you. Whether it is or not, DEAL WITH IT! As someone has pointed out, this is a FREE shard. No one is twisting your arm to play. As the saying goes, Sh** happens!!
Don't be irritating the Shard owners and helpers with your moaning and groaning... If they shutdown the shard, you won't be able to play at all.

I kinda like this .. gives me a lil time to browse the boards, catch up on what I have been missing out on here. When I think back to other mmorpg's I've played, some of my best times were during server outages and hanging out with other players on pm's ... trying the log in for several hours. (kinda like those sale commercials with the old ladies waiting for the store to open in the morning .. and you wonder if people like that have a life .. I know I have a life heheh)
*p.s. yes there are a great group of people that run WoD just out of the pure enjoyment for the game and this rpg world, thanks for making this an A+ game to come to. Half the fun is loosing stuff , but I am kinda sadistic like that.

Do you have a receipt from your purchases?

*points to the small print at the bottom of the WoD player contract*
All purchases are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and are non-refundable/non-returnable

First of all, if you are going to post like a dumbass, at least get your terms right: The shard has never "crashed."
Second, I'll be glad to give you a refund once you give me mine. Let's see:
Server hardware: ~ $1000
Monthly ISP costs: $35. Been doing it for 1.5 years, total cost: $630.
Hours spent setting up and maintaining firewall, Windows patches, file transfer software, backup procedure, troubleshooting ISP problems, staying up late, making my wife angry because of it: You don't even want to know. Might want to add "running quests" and "answering help pages" to my refund check, too.
Oh, and just to keep this in perspective...Total number of people who donated to the server hardware upgrade: 1.
Let me be clear: I don't do this because I like spending money, or giving away my time, or dealing with problems. I do this because I enjoy it and have fun providing a free service to people. Most of the time. Posts like this make it entirely unfun. I don't like the ISP having problems anymore than you do. I spoil you with 18 months of clean connections, and the first time there is an extended problem I get this kind of crap?
I'm sick of the bitching on the boards. The DSL will be permanately fixed as soon as I can get Speakeasy/Covad to identify the problem and resolve it. If I see anymore posts which include phrases like "the shard is down AGAIN", I'll be tempted to just leave it "down."
