The case of the misleading Prophet...

Postby Bayn on Mon Aug 25, 2003 12:34 am

I was on my way into Britain today when I was jumped by bands of angry townspeople, mercenaries and downright nasty sorts of creatures. I was able to fight my way to the bridge to find that a large battle had taken place there as well. A black wisp, glowing red to my eyes, was one of my final foes and Bronwyn, may she ever be Blessed, healed me continually as I battered it into little shreds of Wisp.

Arwen Greenleaf had found a note stating that the Prophet was touring the Shrines and the fighting at the edges of town were designed to keep us busy, which it did. However, a band of us buffed and headed to some Shrines. We fought battles with blights and fearsome creatures at two Shrines but the others had already been cleared by valorious WoDrs.

There were reports that the Prophet had been killed at several locations but those were probably priests of the Prophet, as our band encountered and vanquished at the Shrine of Compassion.

Hopefully, more notes and information was gleaned by many inhabitants of WoD and will be shared here so we can attempt to add some illumination to -why- this so called Prophet is fomenting rebellion.

I read through the histories of WoD in an attempt to find information to link to the current problems but to no avail. Perhaps another WoDr, more intimate with the history of the World, might have an idea.

Surely this Prophet can be reasoned with, negotiated with. This is a World of violence but the violence should be directed towards evil beings, not townspeople and craftsmen.
